FROM HERD TO SHOES
Laines Paysannes and BAABUK have combined their expertise and creativity to create the very first eco-friendly, gender-neutral sneaker made from real wool from real sheep from the Pyrenees.
The two brands have worked together with the help of partnering workshops, selecting the finest local wool from herds reared in the wild, developing a new natural fabric that is all-together beautiful, strong and comfortable. They have led the experimentation and achieved the manufacturing of 100% wool laces using exceptional local know-how, culminating in a design that is both modern and timeless, zero dye, which finds its uniqueness in the natural colour of the sheep fleece: sneakers that grow in the fields, with impeccable traceability from the flock to your feet.
The Peaks Wooler sneaker spreads a story of commitment to a Better Fashion, walking somewhere between tradition and innovation, accompanying your steps with determination and poetry.
Peaks. Beyond borders.
The BAABUK X Laines Paysannes collaboration broadens horizons and brings together the best of pan-European collaboration in a sneaker that crosses borders.
- The wool is hand-sorted by the Laines Paysannes team on Pyrenees farms.
- The fabric is made in the South of France by Atelier Le Passe Trame
- The laces are woven in the West of France by the Société Choletaise de Fabrication factory
- The sneakers are made in Northern Portugal, a few kilometres from Porto by Baabuk’s team of local partners
